Accessibility Improvements

  • Completed a round of accessibility enhancements to improve navigation, keyboard functionality, and screen reader compatibility.
Addition of Annotation Block on the Object Record

  • A new annotation block was added to the object record to add notes and explanations for the artwork.
New Object Count Block

  • The Object Count block replaces the “number of objects” field and allows users to enter the value, unit, type, counted by, date, and note.
Updated Dropdown Terms for Exit Reason

  • Added a newer version of the object exit procedure with new terms to explain why an object leaves the collection: Temporary, Transfer, Painted Out, Covered by Construction, and Lost to Demolition. The legacy field is still available to users.
Optional Service: Single Sign On (SSO)

Twitter Icon Removed

Homepage Accessibility

  • Marked slideshow images as decorative.
  • Added ability to pause and play the slider on the homepage.
  • Added focus states for slider controls.
  • Improved search field labels for screen readers.
  • Updated link labels to be shorter and clearer for featured collections, exhibitions, “Surprise Me” images, and cards
  • Improved search buttons and heading structure, and included the search results in the focus order.
Global Accessibility Improvements

  • Updated link naming so it announces when links open in another tab or window.
  • Improved the accessible name for the On/Off View filter
  • Added announcements for expanded/collapsed filter state.
  • Added “Apply Filter” buttons at the top and bottom of lists and set filters to automatically close after applying.

  • Added 5 new reports to the CMS, including:
    • Tombstone with Budget

Updated Reports

  • Updated the following reports:
    • Full Object with Place Detail now includes the place note field.
    • Basic Object with Current Location includes thumbnail outputs for each object, so there will be no duplicate rows when multiple media objects are added.

Forgot Password Link Not Generating

  • Fixed the Forgot Password workflow so clients can reset their password.

Improved Gallery Experience

  • Improved the way the artwork detail gallery handles a variety of image sizes. Users will now see additional images on the left, view the full image (whether landscape or portrait), have images centered when there is only one, and experience an enhanced gallery on mobile devices.

Homepage Scroll

  • Improved the homepage scrolling for the Featured Collections and Featured Exhibitions sections to make it easier to scroll through the list.

CMS Updated to 7.2

  • Upgraded all CMS tenants to the 7.2 version, which includes the following new features:
    • Ability to add artwork tags or themes to artworks for better classification.
    • Ability to add demographic details for persons associated with the artwork.
    • Ability to use the checklist information extension to keep track of specific workflows.
    • Ability to add Alt Text to media.
    • Ability to mark an Exhibition record as ready to publish to PAA.
